Dream journal · lucid dreaming

A tiny dormouse watches over your nights.

Every morning you tell pyjou your dream. It tells you its own and brings back a find. The more nights you log, the more it grows — and the closer you get to your first lucid dream.

Dawn · on waking

Tell it your night, it tells you its own.

A dream fades within a minute of waking. pyjou is made for that minute: open it, tell your night with your eyes still half-closed, and it's kept.

« Last night I didn't go far, just to the childhood home. Everything was calm. I found this on the ground: a magnifying glass. »

Tell your dream out loud. Transcription happens on your iPhone.

  • “Nothing remembered” counts

A morning with no dream is still a logged morning: effort is what gets rewarded.

  • 40 finds

Every morning the dormouse brings back an object from its trip, drawn from the places in your dream.

Day

Your nightlight for today.

Four small steps light its nightlight, which glows over the glade when night falls. Each one earns hazelnuts, to dress up your dormouse and decorate its glade. Add your own small sleep habits too.

The 30-night path through the glade
Dusk · wind-down

Lucid dreaming in 30 nights.

A guided course, one lesson per night, built on techniques studied in sleep research: MILD, reality checks, waking late in the night (WBTB).

  1. Week 1

    Build your recall

Your dreams come back first; everything else depends on it.

  2. Week 2

    Plant the doubt

Reality checks during the day, tied to a trigger.

  3. Week 3

    MILD and the late-night wake-up

    When REM sleep dominates.

  4. Week 4

    Stabilize

Extend a lucid dream and learn to return to it.

In the evening, the wind-down prepares you in two minutes: your evening step, your intention, your MILD phrase. The WBTB alarm wakes you gently, then guides you back to sleep.

Night 1 is free. No technique works for everyone: pyjou shows you what changes for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is pyjou?+

pyjou is an iPhone dream journal and lucid-dreaming app with a companion: a baby dormouse in pajamas who lives in a glade. Every morning you tell it your dream; it tells you its own and brings back a find. Your logged nights make it grow and make its glade bloom.

Does pyjou send my dreams to a server?+

Not when your iPhone can run the analysis on its own (Apple Intelligence): everything stays on the device. Otherwise the dream text goes through our server to Anthropic, and pyjou asks for your explicit consent before the first send. For a dream card, only a short visual description goes to Google, never the dream text. Nothing is kept, and you can withdraw consent anytime.

Do I need a subscription?+

No. The journal, voice capture, the companion and its glade, reality checks, the WBTB alarm, statistics, export and night 1 of the course are free. Premium adds the analysis of every dream, recurring patterns, dream cards and all 30 nights of the course, with a 3-day free trial.

Can pyjou really help me lucid dream?+

pyjou brings techniques studied in sleep research into a 30-night course: dream recall, reality checks, MILD, WBTB. No technique works for everyone and nothing is guaranteed: the course gives you a clear routine and shows what changes, night after night.

Is pyjou the new remlucid?+

Yes. Same app, with a new name and a companion. Your journal, statistics and course progress are kept when you update.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

From Settings → your account → Subscriptions on your iPhone. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling during the free trial means you're never charged.
